I want to delete all the songs in my music folder that aren’t on my ipod anymore but they are mixed in with the songs that are on my ipod already. How do i delete them without deleting the songs that are on my ipod currently?
im asuming you have downloaded the recent itunes, so go to file, library, consolidate library.
what this will do is copy all the music you have and put it in a folder (My Music, iTunes)
itunes will now use these files for your music instead of file scattered around your computer. this means that you can delete your music files without affecting itunes
Note: C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\My Music\iTunes\iTunes Music is where your music for itunes will be.
also, the prosses of consolidating your music may take awhile.
Note: this will copy the music which means this will dublicate all your music. so if you have 5gb of music, there will now be 10gb of music unless you delete the original files
