when did music video started? who made it?

A music video is an ordinary video using a single music recording as the main element of the sound track.

In movie parlance, a feature film is 8 or more reels, a short subject is 2 reels, a newsreel is 1 reel. a full reel is about 7 minutes. anything less than a full reel is a clip. since single music records usually run 2 to 3 minutes, a music video can alternately be called a clip.

MTV was the first major venue for music video. Record producers realized that to get air play on MTV they needed to make a music video for them. While most MTV videos are produced by the record label since they stand to gain by record sales, current US copyright laws pretty much allow anyone to make a music video for air play (but not for other distribution), so MTV would sometimes run independent or alternative videos for a particular song.

Im looking for the name of a recent song which i saw the video clip for the other day which involved a large group of people (20-30) riding along city streets at night all with flashing lights on the handlebars or wheels. One of the riders gets hit by a car, then a random white horse runs along the road and everyone is all better and they ride off?

I remember I saw that music video clip many years ago.

There was this guy who I think was told to wait. Then he was left alone in an office building/ hotel and he started dancing alone. At some point he started flying…

I think the music video also won some award for it’s choreography.

Anyway… any idea what I’m talking about?

Suppose I use Timberland’s "Apologize" as music background, random pictures of celebrities found on the internet, and random video clips from "Titanic". Is it legal or not? And if I allow others to download my video without charge, is it legal or not?

Hey, well i’ve seen alot of people do this.

Basically i want to "Rescore" some clips with different music, but i don’t know how to xD.

Like i said, all i want to remove is the music. I need to keep the main audio (such as Dialouge, extra SFX et cetera)

Would be greatly appreciated if i could get some answers. Thanks (Y)

This is a complicated process. The program Adobe Audition 3.0 is the best at doing it. You make a selection of the background music only and click "Capture Noise Reduction Profile", then you select the whole audio waveform and go to effects > restoration > noise reduction(process).

This program costs $350 unless you download it.
