how can i download music from the internet to my phone.?

I want to download music to use as ringtones on my phone. I have a sony erickson. Is this doable , with out having to use a pay ringtone site ?

Your phone should come with software that allows you to do transfers (by USB cable or Bluetooth). You can use full length tracks and set them as ringtones. Or you can pick up mp3s that have been downloaded into your Temporary Internet Folder (if using Windows, you’ll find it through Disk Clean Up/ Control Panel on your C drive), which will usually automatically download with everything you view/listen to.

Hope that helps.

Yes, you just need a cable and the Sony software.

Rip whatever you want from CD’s or get MP3s from the net and copy accross (if your phone supports that, but most Sony ones do).

if you have a cable, then you can download all ringtone free from many websites, or you can even make your own ringtones, if you don’t have any connection between your phone and your PC, then visit http://www.tagtag.com and find excatly what you are looking for, then copy the URL(ie: the link) to your mobile phone, this way the ringtone is directrly saved on your phone with the lowest cost possible.
