see lime wire is not a correct solution to prevent virus.
install a good antivirus like norton, avast4.8 (if you want free but good antivirus) and download anything you want without any problem.
I am using avast from last 2 years and not getting affected by any virus though I used to download many things from internet.

iTunes, or any other place you pay for it. If you’re not paying, you’re downloading from strangers (individual users – web sites that would allow you to do that would be illegal, and would be closed in minutes) and downloading from strangers is dangerous. (You get links to them on websites, but the actual download is from strangers.)
