Are HD DVD Players Just Paperweights?

Concerns have been brought up by many consumers as to whether their HD DVD Players have become giant paperweights when the HD format was declared obsolete. The reality is however far from that. These HD players are even more attractive to buyers. For one, their prices are lower due to the obsolescence. One can even buy cheaper units that have been slightly used but traded in when their former owners felt the need to upgrade to Blu-ray. Second, obsolete or not, the quality of HD is just equal with those produced by Blu-ray discs and players. Therefore, there really is no reason to junk your HD player.
