Is there any music creating program that I can use to not just edit, but to actually create music?

I don’t play any instruments, but I sing and write lyrics, and I’m looking into making a demo CD. I’d like to create my own music for my lyrics by using some type of music creating program since I don’t play anything. Is there any music creating program that’s free (or not free) that I can use to not just edit, but to actually create music?

If you use a PC, try FL Studio:

There’s garage band. If you get a mac it comes with it, but then you’d have to get a mac. I bet you can get a copy of it separately.

Sibelius, but that can get quite expensive.

I found this software via Google called Notepad which is basically the same thing (but not as good, in my eyes) and you get a months free trial with that. Afterwards you have to pay, but I’m guessing you could always download it with different details.
